WHEN EXPECTATIONS COLLIDE

Expectations over time will transform a marriage from a covenant relationship to a debt/debtor relationship. That results in us feeling like our spouse owes us. We will look into this topic with the video and our discussion.
Please read the devotionals below on the blog from First Peter. Think about the questions and the scripture. This will help you prepare for the lesson. In addition to those questions here are two other questions for you to think about and/or discuss with your spouse before Sunday.
1. Expectations create a debt/debtor relationship in marriage. It becomes about what your spouse "owes" you. What do you feel that your spouse owes you?
2. How do expectations prevent unconditional love from being expressed?
